Listening to: Bloc Party - Bloc Party
What a weekend! Fully packed, no time for blogging that's for sure! Im still chuckling over the discovery of Mr Potato Heads new alias, as the dreaded 'Darth Tater'. That helped me to get through the days of non-stop lawnmower and hose pipe picking!
Good Friday was a good day for me, as I succeeded in eating NO meat whatsoever. Usually a challenge I succumb to about 12 o'clock each Good Friday! I don't know whether this tradition is too familiar with a lot of people but believe me, I do not follow it because of any religious reasoning. Its just a family tradition which I try my hardest to keep to, plus its a challenge as Im a most proud carnivorous beast. I worked hard and went home with Jen to watch 'Intolerable Cruelty', which was surprisingly good in a cheesy kinda way. Later I paid a visit to my good friend Nathan, who showed me his new gadgets and games. I was wowed, then I retired.
Saturday = work. Then Jen and I met up with the gang at Clare's house where a BBQ was in full flow. After learning about the Welsh result, I needed a good night to wipe away the tears... bring out the D&B! We had a very good night, despite being nearly burnt alive by a raging fire started by Owain. Although we can't complain.... it kept us warm out in the garden!
Easter Sunday was somewhat surreal without the routine of work, so as I tried to adjust to Daylight Savings Time, I gave Syphon Filter : The Omega Strain a go. Disappointing. After a hearty meal the Bear and I (you should know who the Bear is by now) met with Greg and Sarah down the Bay for some Easter Quiz trail action. It was good to see the good ole' Bay again; it seems you can't blink as you will miss what they are building next! Be it an apartment block or the Assembly building (my future workplace?)! We answered the quiz (which was meant for 5 year olds) in style, had eaten awesome ice-cream and touched buttons in the Millennium Centre. Fun Fun!
The regular Sunday quiz was a real mindf**k this week, which was completely unexpected. We had to pit our wits in a 'Dingbats' round and a '5 or under' round and although we gave it our all, we failed to make a big impression on our first mighty gathering in The Three Horseshoes. Alas, theres always next week.
Monday (today) sucked as it meant more work, but on a plus I have eggs to eat, Bloc Party to listen to (who are awesome) and Im seeing some friends tonight. So on this high note, I must depart and wish you well, you most gentlemanly of blogs.
